Page started his wrestling career in 2008, working for various independent promotions such as Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Ring of Honor (ROH), Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). He gained significant recognition during his time in ROH, where he became a member of the popular stable called "The Elite" alongside Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks.

In 2019, Page became one of the founding members of AEW, a new wrestling promotion.
